“Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told.
Think about it.
Religion has actually convinced people that there’s an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever ’til the end of time!
But He loves you.
He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money!
He’s all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can’t handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more."

Also they keep predicting things... like May 21, 2011 is the "Rapture" and October 21, 2011 is the "end of the world". HOW DO THEY KNOW THESE THINGS???
Sort of makes you wonder what they're going to do with all that money.
IF ONLY all of them could read this and see the sad situation for themselves....
Yeah, strange that.
IF ONLY all could truly know God's love, know that He created us to have a personal relationship with him that was ruined by Satan, so he made a way to restore that through Jesus. He doesn't need money, he owns it all, but all people/organizations on earth need it... There are many misconceptions...If you truly seek Him, you'll find Him.
Thanks Sara. I don't understand but thanks.
All of us have known God--omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent, with rules, rewards and punishments, and we felt safe ad secure in God's arms. Most of us called her mom, or him dad. But, then, we found s/he let us down, and we realized s/he wasn't perfect, didn't know everything, wasn't always good. And most of us have been trying to get back to that feelig of safety and security ever since. Is it any wonder these bullshit stories are so effective?
Except that, when you really look a it, God doesn't need money. People need money, and want money, but sometimes it's hard to tell a need from a want. Lucky is the person who can tell the difference, in self and/or others.
I must say, i agree with this in terms of say, the Vatican - but not all faiths are like this =/
